After 41 years of dedicated service to the poultry industry, Astral Foods CEO Chris Schutte has announced his retirement. Schutte joined Astral in 2004 as Managing Director for the Feed Division and was later appointed to the Astral Board. Astral Foods, established in 2001, is the leading integrated poultry producer in South Africa. The company has recently acquired a key player in the industry and appointed a new CEO to lead the organization.
